Hey Dancers!

Welcome to Dance Diaries, where I motivate you to move beyond your comfort zone by sharing my experience attending a new dance class every week!

Have you ever been excited to try something new, but hesitated because you were scared to do it on your own? I certainly have. When I was a kid, I always wanted my twin sister to take the first step. Whether we were waiting for our dentist appointments, or trying to make friends at a new school, I always felt safer watching her go first and having her prepare me for what to expect.

As we grew older and took different paths in life, I suddenly had no choice but to tackle things alone, and I discovered that, while intimidating, trying something new by yourself can also be exciting, rewarding, and even empowering!

If, like me, you want to move beyond your comfort zone, but still appreciate having someone who will let you know what to expect, you’ve come to the right place!

Every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST, I will be exploring a new dance class and reporting back to you how it went. I’ll let you know what you may want to wear, what the vibe was, how difficult the class was, and anything else I wish I knew before jumping in.

So forget begging a friend to come try a class with you, and definitely forget about missing out on all the fun just because you’d be going on your own! Let’s stop letting our anxieties keep us from exploring things that can bring us joy.

Regardless of your background or level of experience, this is a space for you to expand your dance horizons, embrace the awkwardness and awesomeness of trying something new, and gain confidence in moving beyond your comfort zone, one dance at a time.

Let’s get moving! Head to the “Diary Entries” page to join my dance adventures!
